John 'Popp' Clark

Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA, John showed interest in music at the very tender age of twelve, because of his mother

and uncles were jazz musicians.

At age of 15 John picked up his first guitar in Middle School. John played in the Jazz Band and Marching Band at Locke High School.

In marching band, He was one of the first sideline electric guitar players under the direction of Mr. Frank Harris for the Locke High School Saints Marching Band.  John played in the Locke High Jazz band under direction of Reggie Andrews.

Lastly he was effective with assisting Mr. Frank Harris in helping him with the 100 Black Men L.A. Chapter for musical entertainment.

John graduated from Locke in the early 80’s

and has been a Pro-Guitarist ever since.

Working with such greats as: Jill ScottShanice Wilson, Paris Escovedo, Barry White, Latoya Jackson and the Jacksons (West Africa Tour).

Performed at the Official People's Inauguration Ball for the Election of

President Barack Obama in Los Angeles, CA

He received Honors from the Head of State of Liberia, Africa when he was on tour with LaToya Jackson.
